As a working fellowship member of the Doctors of Conscious Sedation Organization he has been providing safe and comfortable oral sedation dentistry for the past seven years.

Since 2005, Dr Kara has been a leading general dentist provider of Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen®. He was one of the original dentists in Canada certified to offer Botox Cosmetic® and Juvederm® in 2008.

He is a clinical instructor at UBC dental school, and is also the team dentist for the Langley Rivermen Junior A Hockey Club.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Kara enjoys hockey, golf and travelling to new places. He loves to spend time with his wife Zahra, close friends and family.

Dr. Shafiq Kara...

Born in Alberta and now residing in Vancouver, Dr. Shafiq Kara graduated as the Valedictorian from the Faculty of Denistry at the University of Western Ontario in 2004. He has since been practicing in downtown Vancouver and Langley with the goal of providing the highest quality of personalized dental care.

Dr. Kara’s special interests are in complex smile design, advanced reconstruction, rehabilitative and sedation dentistry. He has devoted countless hours to continuing education every year, travelling across North America to learn from the best cosmetic, restorative and specialist dentists. Dr.Kara has trained at the prestigious Spear Scottsdale Centre for Dentistry, studied cosmetic smile design and veneer placement under New York celebrity dentists Lituchy & Lowenberg, and at the world-renowned Kois Center in Seattle. The Spear and Kois Center are widely recognized as two of the most elite dental training facilities in restorative, esthetic and prosthodontic dentistry in the world.
